Why is the funding goal higher this time?
In contrast to Radiance RAVAGE will be a fully developed hard cover book of over 400 pages right away, which costs a bit more. And, unfortunately, this time we know we have to pay taxes on the books sold and while we’re non-profit the tax office doesn’t care :/ So that is why it is a bit higher this time.

Why are shipping costs so high?
Mainly because RAVAGE will be a very heavy book of 2kg.
Due to the weight limitations (max. 1kg) we can’t use the cheaper “book shipping” option. We also have to add all the (possible) stretch goal items and packaging to the total weight and calculate our shipping costs (+ the costs of packaging material) accordingly.
The parcels we will send off to you are traceable and insured, though.

You might also wonder, why we put “shipping“ into our costs overview, which may seem weird, because shipping is extra when you back…
The reason for that is that the shipping you add “on top“ of the backed amount actually counts into our funding goal (just how Kickstarter works!). So, we had to factor in that a certain amount of our funding goal is coming in via shipment costs counting towards funding, which we actually need to subtract because that’s not really money we can use for printing. That is why we included it in the overview.

I want to pledge but I don't have a credit card - how can I do that?
During the last few weeks we have reached out to various people, and got input from them regarding the problem of “having no credit card”. So we would like to enhance our previous post, hopefully giving all of you enough time to organize pre campaign! Prepaid PayPal Mastercard: Still the most straightforward option for those with a PayPal account but without a credit card might be this: A PayPal prepaid Mastercard. Link: https://www.paypal-prepaid.com/ This is a Debit card you fill up that is paid from your PayPal account, and as such, in our opinion, the most simple solution. However, it is NOT available to all countries and as such may not work for everyone. Virtual credit cards: It is possible to get Virtual Credit Cards. You would need to open an account though for these - for example via the App “Revolut” (Site | request Download link for App). A work colleague has it and he uses the virtual cards for online purchases. However, this is just one offer, there are several more when you search for them. And last, but definitely not least - Fannibal help: This option was used a lot last time – other Fannibals buying the tiers for those without credit cards. What if I want to purchase several books?
IF you purchase several tiers, please contact us with your backer numbers after the campaign has run. That is the #123 (for example), not the hash (1e4gz52322ix, for example), since the hash is your unique Kickstarter reference which we cannot access. And then we’ll calculate final shipping and combination and refunding difference etc.
IF you wish to purchase multiple books - just let us know! We’re happy to set up a tier just for you - but we need to know where to first :))

What is the rating of the book? Is it suitable for teens?
The overall rating of RAVAGE is “mature”, meaning: The book contains adult content (nudity, violence, strong language,…), but NOT of the explicit, detailed kind (NO porn, graphic violence,…). It is suitable for people of 17+ years.
As a rule of thumb: If you have seen the TV-show “Hannibal”, you know what maximum degree of violence, gore, sex etc. you can expect to see in the book.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
